PDay update 8/3/15

Hey everyone!!!

So this week was kind of slow.  I'm trying to remember everything that happened. hahaha

I can't think of anything earth shattering or ground breaking to tell you all about.

OH!  So we had that lesson with the Japanese girl!  Man!  I missed Japanese!!  It reminded me how much I actually know. =]  I was doing great in conversation until we had to talk about Gospel stuff. hahaha But I had studied it a bit so it wasn't too bad.  She just really wasn't responding to any questions or anything.  By the end of it we were asking her about her interest level.  She was saying that she is only here for about 3 months studying abroad and then she goes back to Japan.   And she said that she will be able to learn about God and Jesus Christ in school.  So.. (this was my first time ever doing it in Japanese) I bore sincere testimony (in the best way I could) that this is the only true church on Earth.  I think I had more to it, but I can't remember.  But I just said that I know it.  I know that you can be the happiest in here than anywhere else.  The Spirit was so intense.  When the Spirit is in a room is brings this silence that you can almost feel.  I've experienced it a lot on my mission and I love it.  And you could tell that everyone felt it.  Actually, talking to the other missionaries afterwards, they DID feel it!  Even though they didn't understand a single word I was saying, they could feel the Spirit at that moment.  Isn't that neat?  It shows that we DO feel the Spirit.  And it doesn't matter if we understand the words being spoken or not, He's there.

I hit my year mark.  That was weird.  I can't believe that I have been doing this for a year now.

For a year I have been waking up at 6:30 am, doing exercises, studying at 8:00am-10:00am, visiting members, teaching investigators, talking to everyone we can about the gospel.  For a year I have been engulfed in the Spirit and the gospel.  For a year I have been bearing my testimony on a daily basis.  For a year I have been on a rollercoaster ride of the good and the bad.  And I have been loving the ride. =]

For a year I have been away from home.  That's the biggest one I can't believe.  And the even BIGGER ONE is that I only have 6 months left.  Yup.  That's it.  Only 6.  All the missionaries say that the last 6 months go the fastest.  Yeesh!  Hope I don't miss anything as it speeds by!!

Hmmm let's see.  Saturday we were out walking in the hot sun, doing some finding, for about 3-4 hours.  It was a LONG day. hahaha We had a total of 6 finding hours that day.  LONG. hahah So exhausted.

Other than that I have nothing to really update you all on this week.  I am loving my mission and I highly recommend serving if you are considering or know someone who is.  I have learned so much more than I anticipated.  It throws me back a little by how much I have and am learning.  AND IT'S OVERWHELMING HOW MUCH THERE IS STILL LEFT TO LEARN!  Anyway. hahah

Remember that Heavenly Father LOVES you. No matter what.
