PDay update 7/20/15

First of all, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MOM AND DAD!
25 years together!  They're the best people ever.  My parents have given me so much in my life and I love them so dearly.  God truly blessed me with them.  Everyone needs to know how fantastic these people are. =]

Well, here I am, in Amherst!  I missed Nova Scotia so much!  Haha  I don't know what it is, but Nova Scotia is just SO beautiful.  But, I really have to say, that leaving Presque Isle was SO difficult.  I was kind of sad the first day here because change is just so hard for me sometimes.  You kind of get used to it on a mission, but then again you don't.  I will miss Sister Powell SO MUCH!!  She is such a wonderful person.  Love her. =]

Well, so for this area, it is a small branch of about 20 active members.  Quite the difference from Caribou where the ward is like, 140-190. hahah But it's a cute little branch.  They need the missionaries a lot here, and I love helping them out.  I have a feeling I will be conducting music a lot this transfer. hahah And also teaching most Sunday lessons.

President and Sister Pratt came and spoke here this Sunday.  I just absolutely LOVE them so much.  They are such good people and he really have an awesome testimony.  Great mission president. =]

Well, being an STL isn't too different.  One thing for sure though is that I plan to break the mold.  STLs kind of have a reputation of not actually caring, but I want to show these sisters that I care about who they are and the problems they're facing.  SOOOooo what we are doing is (we're serving 3 areas of sisters) we made a list of get-to-know-you questions and we skype them and we just take that time to get to know who they are as a person.  Because how could I possible serve someone I know nothing about?  And it was actually really great!  By the end of it you could tell that the sisters relaxed and seemed more comfortable. =]  I don't want to be that person in leadership that makes everyone feel uptight and worried all the time about how I'm scoring them.  Cuz I'm not. haha
So yeah, that's STL life so far.  OOOHH P.S  I get to go back to NEW GLASGOW!!!  Because that's one of the areas I serve!!! =D =D =D =D Never thought that I would get to go back there! I am seriously SO STOKED you have no idea!  And this transfer Sister Mangelson wants to go to P.E.I but I'll most likely be here another one so I will probably get to go there too. =]

So great news, Kristina from Presque Isle was baptized this Saturday!!  I didn't get to be there, but I saw a picture from it and I am SO happy!!  =D Man, I love being a missionary.  Highly recommended.  Highly.

Hmmm...I don't know why, but I just can't think of much to tell you about this week.  I love you all though!!

Hope you have a great week!
