Hey everyone!
Well, this week wasn't super eventful honestly. And let me tell you, I am very grateful for that right now.
Just some updates on the mission, today is President Leavitt's last day. He will be showing President Pratt around the mission and he leaves tomorrow. It's pretty weird. President Leavitt did a lot of great things for the Canada Halifax Mission. =]
We will have another Zone conference to meet President Pratt this Wednesday in Amherst, Nova Scotia!! Whoo! I miss Nova Scotia! I loved it there. =]
Our new Toyota Corolla (that we need to get registered in Maine because it's registered in Vermont) was given to us with the wrong title in information...... merp. So we have to deal with that little bubble of joy. hahah But it's not bad at all compared to things we've dealt with in the past. Hallelujah.

I'm actually very happy to say that things have just been normal.
We are teaching Kristina, who is on date for July 11th. She's been coming out to church for almost 2 years! Total faith that she won't go less active. =] She's awesome. =]
Working with Winnie, she's been having some tough trials lately. She's still really awesome! She studies extra because she feels bad for not making it out to church. =D
We have a new investigator named Dale. He's a sweet older man that we have taught the Restoration to so far. It was a good lesson! =] We're teaching him tonight actually.
Picked up another new investigator named Dot. We went to visit a less active member (I think she's his girlfriend) and she is interested in learning more! Like, super solid! So that's exciting.
I think I mentioned that we're teaching Sie's niece, Akkhina. We taught her the Restoration and watched the 20 minute Restoration video with her. The lesson went a lot better having a video to watch. =]

As for the rest of my week, we have just been ploppin along. =] Going
about the work. I can confidently say that this is the best time in my
mission. The people I'm around, the places I see, and the work that is
progressing here. It is great. =] A month from tomorrow I will be hitting my
YEAR mark. Yeah. Just let that sink in. I really can't believe that I have
been away for this long. It doesn't feel like it honestly. Before I know it I
will be home again. It's just so crazy!! I am enjoying myself while I am here.
I will never again have the authority to BOLDY tell someone about the gospel like how I can now. And let me tell you, I have been getting bolder and bolder on my mission. We had a conversation with an older lady the other day who said hr calling is to study the scriptures. And we testified of the Book of Mormon to her. =] And, well, let's just say I was very bold with her. Hahah She was very apprehensive about the Book of Mormon, so I told her, "Well, it either is true or it isn't. If it IS true, then you have SO much to gain and learn from it, and if it isn't, then all you did was a little bit of research. But it's up to us to SEARCH. Because if it is true, we will miss out." And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Sister Powell and I were both very bold with her. I love it. =D I love flat out telling people what's up. It's the best. ;] I don't think I was that way before my mission. hahaha The mission truly changes you. That's for sure.
I never realized how important it was to be bold and transparent with the gospel (or with anything really) until my mission. If something is wrong, it's wrong. If something is true, it's true. There are no gray areas. None. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only gospel on the Earth today that is complete and full. It has the Priesthood authority of God Himself.
I know that there are many points of doctrine that we as humans tend to not understand or agree with, but it doesn't change that they are truth. And I KNOW that Heavenly Father loves us SO much that He only gives us commandments for our benefit. We need an eternal perspective. =]
Well, I'm ranting now. I just really love this gospel.
I love you all!!
