PDay update 5/4/15

Happy Star Wars day!!
Can you believe that it has been 1 hole year ago TODAY since I opened my mission call??  WOW!  And now I am half-way through my mission.  Craziness.

Well, to be honest with you all, this wasn't the best week.  And I really don't have a lot of time because right after we email we are leaving to Fredericton New Brunswick.  Sister Leak is being transferred as part of a mid-transfer.  So a new Sister will be coming to me named Sister Powell.  No worries about Sister Leak, she's fine, she's just a part of this transfer.  Sometimes it just happens. haha

Because this week is crazy, instead of giving a day-by-day, I am just going to give highlights.  Sorry.  I just got to hurry.

Well, on Wednesday we went to Fredericton for our Zone Conference.  On the way there we almost ran out of gas!  And while filling up our tank we found that our back tired was FLAT.  Not low, flat. haha So we filled it and went to conference and then after we took it to Canadian Tire (pretty popular store in Canada.)  And they had to replace all four tires.  It goes without saying, but we were there a while. haha So we contacted in Freddy Town.  We were street contacting and we walked by a street and I thought, 'man, I want to knock over there'  but it wasn't my area so I felt bad.  But then after walking a little more Sister Drew (our STL in Houlton) said we should knock, so I suggested that street.  WELL.  Sister Leak and I met a really cool man named Matthew from China.  He didn't have any religious views really, but we got talking about the Plan of Salvation.  And he had great questions!  We talked with him for maybe 20 minutes at his door.  IT WAS SOO COOL!  And when we asked if he would be interested in learning and researching this more for himself, he said yes!  So we got a really solid referral for the Freddy Elders.  =] Woo!  I love missionary work.

Another thing is that a recent convert here in the ward, Brandy, is considering serving a mission.  So we got approval from President and she served a "mini-mission" with us.  She was with us from 9am-9pm.  It was a lot of fun and it was kind of fun to teach her about missionary work. =]  Brandy would be a great missionary!  Missions teach so much.  I know I've learned a lot.  Things I couldn't learn at home.

Ok, well this is kind of a lame email week.  Sorry!

But I love and miss you all!  thank you for your support. =]
