Soooo just jumping into this.
Monday May 4 - One year since I opened my call! (I know I said that last week, but man!) So right after emailing we quickly ran to walmart and then we left for the 2-3 hour drive over the border to Fredericton to get Sister Leak on a bus. WELL! The assistants didn't tell the Fredericton Sisters that they needed to come be with me after my companion left, and we couldn't get a hold of them because they had their phone off and were sleeping. (p-day) And so, Sister Leak had to go! So I sat in the car in the Superstore parking lot by myself and called the elders and they came and waited until we got a hold of the sisters. hahah So I was ALONE for a little bit. Scariest thing of my life. I sat in the car and turned up MOTAB. hahaha The rest of the day I spent with the sisters until Sister Powell got here and then we drove home. So far, I really like her. She's from Spanish Fork, Utah and is a soccer player. She is super chill. Favorite color is a vintage orange.
Tuesday May 5 - We volunteered at the G.I.F.T. food pantry this morning. ( I look off of my planner to tell you about our day and the rest of the day was just finding pretty much.) OH except we cleaned out the apartment a little bit. hahah We threw away a lot of stuff. A LOT. Just random junk that accumulates over the years of different missionaries coming in and out of the apartment.
Wednesday May 6 - We had district meeting in Houlton. I was driving us and the elders and on the way back I had the thought to stop and see a member who is WAY out in our area and the elders were like, "No it's ok." Welp. I pulled over and turned around. hahaha Don't care! I felt I should go! And we visited Sister Hudson. The elders had been over there recently and he said that she was a lot more open to the sisters then to them. (Sisters love lots ;] haha) and so I just feel that was good for her because she is less active and needs to know she is cared for. =] Aint no elder going to tell me not to follow a prompting!! hahahah =] We had President interviews! Last ones with President Leavitt! It went really well! I enjoyed that time. =]
Thursday May 7 - We saw a less active today. She is really sweet! She was offended a LONG time ago, and is still hurt by that. It's so sad. How do you solve someone feeling hurt?? Especially when they don't believe you that they are loved and cared for. Merp. Today was honestly kind of boring hahahaha Sorry
Friday May 8 - We had a great weekly planning and then today was the day of recent converts and less actives! (RCLA) And with each visit for the less actives they brought up their concerns right away. So that was really good because now we have a better idea of what we need to do to help them. =D
With one of them they are recent converts AND less actives. The wife really wants her husband to get the priesthood, but he just isn't ready. And I had no idea about that. But I somehow brought up the priesthood and it just opened that all up! It was a great visit with them both.
Saturday May 9 - Today Sister Drew came up to Presque Isle for an exchange with me!! I love Sister Drew! She was my Sister Training Leader (STL) my second transfer. And I was able to open up to her about struggles I was having back then. Well, now she is having some struggles so I was able to help her by giving her a good day. =] Funny thing too, she was trained in Presque Isle! And she only has 2 months left!! So it was a super weird day for her because this is her old area!! But it was a good day. A really good day. I love Sister Drew. What a great sister.
Sunday May 10 - MOTHER'S DAY!
So we had a good Sunday. We taught the beehives again this week. It went pretty well.
After we had finished talking with bishop about some things for the ward we went over to the Johnson's for lunch. Holy goodness! They had such good food!! (Ok, I seriously don't know how to spell what we had. The thing when you stab meat and veggies onto a stick?? Yeah. That. hahaha)
SHISH KABOB! (Sister Powell googled it. haha) They were great.
I got to skype home! You have no idea how short that was! It wasn't long enough guys! But then again, by Christmas skype, I'll only have 2 months left. I'll be where Sister Drew is now. AH! I'm positive that is going to go quickly. It just gets quicker and quicker.
Well, I love you all! Thank you!
