PDay update 6/8/15

Hey Guys!

So I don't really want to do the day-by-day emails anymore because I don't always have something interesting on some of those days.

So on Tuesday we finally made our way over the border to Canada for a little while.  Well, our car has Nova Scotia plates.  So coming home we got stopped at the border and they pulled us in.  We were there for about 15 minutes then they let us go.   We went back the next day though because we were helping people with family history.  Well, on the way home we were pulled in again except this time they were even more intense and scary about everything and they wouldn't allow us back into the country with our car. -__-  So this happened on transfer day so we drove the car to another area in Canada and left the car with those elders and now we are currently sharing a car with the Caribou elders.   We drive them to a lot of places.  Haha And I am not sure how in the world we did it, but our area reached the gold standard again.  My testimony is growing!  I can see how the Lord truly does His work.  We are merely the instruments.  =]
It was kind of rough because we were expecting things to start getting better but the week still didn't start out that fantastically. haha It's no fun dealing with the border.  But after all of that on Wednesday the rest of our week was a lot better.

Here's something that's pretty cool!  While in Caribou we stopped someone on the street and she is Pagan, but her 7 year old daughter wants to be Christian.  Her mom supports whatever religion she wants to be and said that she would like us to start teaching her daughter.  She will turn 8 July 1st!  Whoo!  So we ended up giving them a church tour.  It was pretty cool because her mom really loved it!  Maybe we can bring them both the gospel! =]  That would really be cool.

Right now we are teaching 7 different people.
Winnie, Jen, Kristina, Katherine, Dorothy, Tracy, and Alexis.  4 our of the 7 have come to church at least once since I have been here.  They are all amazing investigators!!   Our area is booming!  And I know that it isn't Sister Powell and I because our lives have been a little up in the air lately! haha It's so surprising anything happened! hahaha But it did!! =]   This is the work of my God, and my God is capable to do it.  I am His instrument in this great and marvelous work.  And I pray that I may continue to be.

I love being a missionary.  I told the congregation here in caribou last week that I am the happiest that I have ever been.  Despite anything thrown my way.  And I know that it is because I am engulfed in this work.  I want to continue my missionary service after I get home.  I want to help members that are struggling, I want to provide service, and I want to show others how much their Heavenly Father loves them.

We just don't realize how vital this gospel is at times.  But it is SO vital.  Sometimes the things of the world are screaming to do this and that, but we need to really listen to the Spirit.  Learn how the Spirit speaks to you.  Practice it.  Sometimes He is speaking to us and we don't even realize it.
I wish I could express how I feel about the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but words don't permit me to.  But, I can testify to you that if you truly want to feel happiness that it comes from knowing this for yourself.  Read the Book of Mormon and build your own relationship with Heavenly Father.   He loves you.  And so do I.  =]

I LOVE YOU ALL!!! =D
