PDay update 6/1/15

Hey everyone!

Weeellllll I guess I'll have to tell you about my week eventually.

Let me just start with the statement that this last week was the hardest week of my whole mission.

Tuesday May 26 - Today we scheduled (forever ago) that we were going to go to the part of our area that covers Canada. Well, we are trying to volunteer at TAMC (hospital in Presque Isle) and we spent this morning with a load of meetings and stuff to get all set for that.  Weelll, to volunteer there they want to make sure that you are actually immune to certain things so they had to do blood work for it.  Sister Powell only had to have 1 tube taken, but they required 3 from me.  I had the guy take it from the left arm and talk to Sister Powell on my right.  (I've had blood taken lots before, just as a disclaimer.)  Sister Powell said that I was fine and just talking to her, but by the 3rd tube I stopped talking to her and looked forward and she said my face went pale, and then I turned and asked the guy if he was almost done.  He said yeah and asked if I was ok.  I told him that I was, and then right after I said that I said, "No, not ok."  And he pulled out the needle and told me to put my hands together and put my head down.  Man, did I feel dizzy.  He had me breathe.  I was breathing really loudly. haha Sister Powell pulled the little cord to call some other people.  While they were coming he asked if I was still with them and I said "Yeah, but I'm going.  And it's hard to hear."  And I really was just fighting to not pass out.  (Which I didn't.) And then someone came and put a cold wet washcloth on my neck and they took my blood pressure.  It was like 80 over 40 or something like that. haha it was low.  SOOOoooo anyway, they took me into a room after I was doing better and they gave my juice and crackers.  We ended up going home and I slept.  I was so out of it. haha  I know that sounds dramatic, well....it was! hahah Good times right??  Well, this is just the beginning. hahaha

Wednesday May 27 - Today was a hoot and a half too. The Houlton sisters in our district have been struggling lately because one of the sisters has been sick for a week and isn't getting better.  So to save the other sister that was working alone in the apartment, President had them come up here to Presque Isle and we would take turns sitting with the other sister.  It wasn't too bad.  Sister Drew and I went out to Ashland (30 minutes away) to have a lesson with Bernie, and on the way out the most insane storm hit!!  It was so crazy!  Nothing happened to us, but it was scary, so I prayed that angels would surround us and as soon as I prayed for that (especially sister Drew) we could feel the power of that prayer working.  It was crazy awesome.  (So that was good.)

Thursday May 28 - We had a great lesson with this less active member named Sharon!  She hasn't been to church since she was baptized!  but we taught the restoration and she said that she knew she needed to come back to church.  She agreed that she would come with us. =]  After that I swapped with the sisters and stayed with Sister Bowden in the apartment.  I enjoyed myself because I cleaned up the apartment, caught up some of our records, and made salmon and mashed potatoes. =]

Friday May 29 - Today was just kind of tense.  Things just were getting tense because the situation was tough having to constantly switch between sisters.  So we just were all drained.

Saturday May 30 - (TODAY IS MY 10TH MONTH MARK!!) Today Sister Powell and Sister Drew went to Houlton to work and I stayed with Sister Bowden.

Sunday May 31 -  Today I spoke in Sacrament.  Let me tell you funny story about that!  When I was preparing my talk (I wasn't given a topic) and I know you know me. I have NO problem talking haha Well, I kept drawing a blank on when I would say for my talk.  So I prayed about it and felt I should turn to the scriptures.  It took me to D&C 84:85 -_____-  Oook.  So I turned to another place in the scriptures.  It took me to 3 Nephi 13:34. -___________-  Sooo I didn't write one! hahah But it was good. =]  I didn't feel awkard up there or anything.  Preach My Gospel (by the Spirit) Sunday was great.  Two of our investigators came to church again.  And it was an all around good day.  We reached the Gold standard AGAIN!  Do you know how hard that is?!?!  I have a STRONG testimony that the LORD does this work, not us.  Blessings!

Just know that I am doing GREAT!!  We had fun today and played volleyball! =]  OH!!!  I almost forgot!  I am staying in Presque Isle another transfer with Sister Powell!!! =D  Yay!  I will be here for my birthday!

Thank you all for your support!!  Love you guys!
