Hey everyone!
Just a heads up. There is a TON of snow here, but luckily, we are able to walk to places. So no worries. =]
Tuesday Feb 10- Today we went out looking for some less active members for a little while. We also called some formers (former investigators from the area book.) Then we had a lesson with a former named Raymond. He is really cool! He knows a LOT about our church and met with missionaries for YEARS. His problem was how pushy they were about baptism. Soooo we'll see how this goes. haha We also went to see Sister Day. That was a good visit. =] She is so cool. We talked about something in the Ensign called, "My Days of Temples and Technology." It's something I read in personal study and I really really loved it. Highly recommended. =] We also had a lesson with Heidi and Mary. It was kind of a weird lesson because it didn't feel right to teach what we had planned and it just didn't feel like we were able to convey anything we wanted to. I felt like I was being restricted. Could be my imagination. Not sure. Or maybe I just bombed the lesson and we're trying to make it sound better than it actually was. hahah But yeah. Not a bad lesson, but not what we planned.

Wednesday Feb 11-ALEX'S BIRTHDAY!
We had district meeting and stuff and then at 5:35 we had interviews with President. They went fine. Then we had Branch Council meeting and left to exchange in Truro. I went to Cole Harbour for the exchange. =]
Thursday Feb 12-ONE YEAR FROM NOW I WILL BE ON AN AIRPLANE GOING HOME!! AH! Weird. So today I was in Cole Harbour for exchanges. it was a really great exchange. Mostly because a Sister that I am friends with who is serving in the mission is having a hard time, and because I was on exchanges, I was able to comfort her as well with the other sisters. That was cool to me. Exchanges are inspired for sure. It was a good day. And I heard what is probably the best member testimony of all time!! haha This sweet lady from Cole Harbour bore her testimony and conversion and it. is. powerful. Very uplifting day. It was nice because the day before was pretty hard.

Friday Feb 13- So, something I didn't realize until Tracy pointed it out
was that today was Friday the 13th!! The reason I didn't notice was because it
was SUCH a good day!! =] We had a very good planning session this week and
really made some great goals. Then we were able to contact old potentials in
the area book and one we contacted is still VERY interested!! AND he gave us
two referrals! One of which we contacted and HE is interested too!! AH!
BLESSINGS!! Also we had a lesson with Raymond again. We taught the 1st half of
the Restoration. It was pretty good. =] We also stopped by to see Tracy for a
few minutes and invite her to the branch board game night activity. So we
stopped and chatted with her for a bit. It was a good missionary day.

Saturday Feb 14- VALENTINE'S DAY!! <3 <3 <3
So today we had correlation with the elders in the morning and then because Monday (today) is a holiday, all of stores are closed and we had to go shopping on Saturday for food. While shopping we saw Tasha and had a really great conversation with her and have made plans to go help her out. She is a single super-mom that I have been trying to help out for a while, but seriously just didn't know how. Because we can't babysit. So we have planned to go over one day and help her prepare meals for the week and as well do some crafts with her girls and give her a break. It is perfect because she will still be there but she won't have to worry about as much. =] Also, haha when we were walking into Wal-Mart I said Hi to someone and he was like, "Um.. Should I know you?" haha and you could tell he felt bad, and I said, "No haha I'm just friendly." and we ended up having a great contact with him and talking to him for a while. =] After we went looking for some formers in Trenton area and then did some facebook finding. (Love being a missionary in the 21st century.) Then we set up and everything for the branch party. It was really fun! =] Our investigator Raymond came. =]
Sunday Feb 15- Church was cancelled today due to the storm. So Sister Johnson and I walked to the church at 10am with our area books and lunch and stayed there from 10-5 doing social media finding and as well working in the area book. My brain way fried after that. Then we had dinner at the Mackinnon's house. Elder Patten, Brother Mackinnon and I got into a cool discussion about the universe. I absolutely loved it. I enjoyed Astronomy when I was in high school and this stuff was so interesting! And all of it Brother Mackinnon tied back to how science and God go together. And it's so TRUE! =] Best conversation ever.
Today! Feb 16- Well, it's storming again. We started off our day by getting terribly stuck. OH! I forgot!! So yesterday when we went to the Mackinnons we had to shovel our way out. But we're girls and it's hard. -_- And while shoveling I just kept thinking in my mind, "Heavenly Father, please send someone to help us." And I was thinking of our neighbor, Anthony, who helps us shovel quite frequently. And after a minute I was discouraged because no one came.. BUT THEN HERE COMES A HUGE TRACTOR WITH A SNOW PLOW!!! Ummmmm Thank you Heavenly Father!! He definitely went above and beyond my expectations on that one. hahahaha And today, the car got stuck backing out. And I thought, "...Oh man...idk if Heavenly Father will send another tractor.." AND JUST THEN 2 guys who work for the city pop out of their truck and start shoveling our car out and then Heavenly Father sends ANOTHER guy who ties a rope to our car and pulls us out!! Heavenly Father loves me. =] It made me think of a scripture in Malachi. it applies to tithing, but I think it applies in this case as well.

Malachi 3:10 "...and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I
will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there
shall not be room enough to receive it."
Heavenly Father is just waiting to bless us. We just have to ask.
=]
I love you all! And I am surviving the snow. ;] Enjoy your sun!! haha
