PDay update 1/26/15

Hey everyone!!  This has been an interesting week!  Transfer letters came in and there are 3 of the 5 New Glasgow missionaries leaving the area. =[   Sister Hoy, Elder Dudley, and Elder Sortomme are all leaving the area.  Elder Patten and I are staying here in New Glasgow for another transfer. Sister Hoy is going to be a sister training leader in Bay Roberts, Newfoundland!  =]  Elder Dudley is going to be a zone leader in Fredericton, New Brunswick.  Elder Sortomme is white wash training in Sackville, Nova Scotia.  Crazy right?! Ah.  I love these missionaries and we have all gotten so close.  I will miss them.  Especially Sister Hoy.

Tues Jan 20- We helped Heidi's friend Mary move from Stellarton to Pictou with Heidi. I have moved a lot of people on my mission. hahaha But it's so good. =] After that we met with e less active member named Tiffany.  It was both of our first times meeting her.  She is really nice. We also met with Karolanne today.  I just really love her a lot.  She is such a sweetheart.  =]  And her dad was there to give input for the lesson too, which was really nice. =] After that we had a lesson with Heidi.  Her lessons are so good.  She is so good!  She is truly searching and wanting to learn.  We watched the restoration DVD with her and she had a lot of great questions.  You could tell that she really was listening and paying attention.

Wed Jan 21- Last district meeting with everyone! =[  At the end of district meeting the elders and Sis H ate Ghost peppers. hahahaha It was funny.  Sis H is a champ. =]   We also did service today and helped out at the nursing home.  Nothing too special about today though.

Thurs Jan 22- We had a lesson with Howard today.  It was kind of a tense lesson because we had the elders there with us and there were just a lot of ideas and comments all over the place.  He just is having a hard time applying what we teach.  Which is so sad, because he's such a sweet man.  He took us to Ming's Chinese place for lunch even. hahah We also did some more service at another nursing home today.  That was pretty fun. =]  They have some fun games that they do there. haha  We spent a lot of the day looking for former investigators and we got a couple solid potentials out of it. =]  Pretty excited for that!  Just sad that I won't be following up with them with Sister Hoy. =/  We also had dinner with Sister Barb Macdonald tonight.  Her husband made pizza.  So good. =]  We had a nice little visit with her and a great discussion about prayer and different things.  =]

Friday Jan 23- So today at High Crest Place (nursing home) they had a bible trivia game.  YIKES!  I They were some hard questions.  We were stumped a lot. hahah  But it was pretty fun. =]  After that we did our regular weekly planning and all that fun stuff.  Friday's are usually long because of all the planning and meetings and stuff.  We also had our apartment and car inspections today too.   After that we went and played Hockey.  Heidi came and brought her son Matthew.  It got me out of playing Hockey because I sat with him instead hahah Also, Heidi told Sister Hoy this night that she wants to be baptized on Wednesday (before anyone would leave for transfers).  So we started planning for that. =]

Sat Jan 24-We helped a member move.  Her name is Tasha and she is such a good person.  She does so much for her kids and she's a single mom.  I'm glad we helped her out.  We also met with Heidi again today and went over things for her baptism and had a great lesson with her! =]  But like, an hour after meeting with her she messaged us on facebook telling us it was too fast.  =/  So she fell off date..  We were pretty bummed about that...

Sun Jan 25- Heidi didn't come to church today. =/  We were pretty worried about that.  Since Sister Hoy is leaving we visited some members and told them goodbye.  And after that we had a lesson with Dwayne.  He didn't come to church this week either. =/  Sad. We also went to Tracy's for dinner and it was fun. =]  The   GOOD NEWS!  The elders met with Heidi and resolved a bunch of her concerns and PUT HER BACK ON DATE!!  She is on date for February 25th!!!  Thank you elders!! =D

Well, that has been my week.  The rest of my week will be interesting too I bet.  Things are going to be different for sure.  But I am excited to meet Sister Johnson.  =]

I love you all!! Have a great week!
