PDay update 12/1/14
Hi Everyone!!
So I'm going to just jump right into my week! =]
Mon Nov 24- WE SAW ANNIE!!!! =D  Annie Ross lives in Wolfville (Sister Hoy and I both served there, in fact, I replaced Sister Hoy in Wolfville.  Funny eh?)  And she came up to see the both of us!!  Annie has two cute boys that I just loved and I miss tons.  They really helped me get through how much I was missing Alex.  And Annie is just a sweetheart that is always thinking of us.  =]  She came up and we got to go to lunch and spend some time with her!   It was so nice!  And Sister Hoy hadn't seen her in 4 months!  It was fun!  We also had dinner with a less active family.  They are so nice!   They currently have two foreign exchange students with them.  One is from China and the other is from Mexico.  They are super nice!  AND they had a spare violin that they let me borrow so I can play it for a Christmas program at the church and also to take caroling and all of these fun things!! AH!  I'm so excited!!  =]   It was kept in the cold though so it goes out of tune a lot. hahah  But it's still nice.  Our branch mission leader has asked us to perform a specific song so Sister Hoy is going to sing, and so will Elder Patten, and I will play the violin.  (I'll get to the Elder Patten explanation.)

Tues Nov 25- Today we went to a lesson with the elders. Not much to report on that. haha We also went and baked with a less actives daughter who is a non member.  It was fun to get to know her!  Her name is Karolanne and she is a sweetheart!  Her whole family is really sweet and I enjoy going over there.  This night we found out that Elder Siepert was being transferred out and Elder Patten was being transferred in.  It's the middle of the transfer so this caught us all off guard.  Not sure why they had this transfer.  Elder Patten and I actually started in the MTC together.  We were in the same zone.  He's a good missionary.  Maybe a little rebellious haha but he's still a good missionary.
Wed Nov 26- We had District meeting in Truro today.  I gave the doctrinal discussion for that.  All that is really is we do a discussion with the whole distract on the topic that we're personal studying at the time out of the study program.  I was on Repentance.  I think it went well.  We said goodbye to Elder Siepert.  We also went to Bingo again.  Haha it's always a good time. =] Then we tried to visit some potentials and some formers but none of them were home.  So we took Theresa a card and some chocolate! =]  I think she really liked it. =]  We also visited Sister Langille. =]
(Goodbye gourd for Elder Siepert)

Thurs Nov 27- We had a great lesson with Howard.  We had the Elders there and that was our first time with the new Elder.  (Well, I already knew him, but you know.) It was a good lesson.  We tried to explain to him why baptism is so important and about resurrection and judgement as well as the three kingdoms of glory.  Then we explained why we need baptism and to be faithful, because without that we won't make it back to God's presence.  The spirit is always so strong in his lessons, he just doesn't seem to fully understand the importance yet.  We're getting there! =]
Soooooooo because my companion is the best and I love her, we went to dinner for American Thanksgiving. =] hahaha We both had steak.  (They didn't have turkey)  But it was fun!  And then we visited a less active.  We are helping her quit smoking. She's so sweet!
Our dinner on American Thanksgiving day :)

Fri Nov 28-Weekly Planning! hahah Yyaaayy.  Weekly planning days always feel long because we are inside for so long.  We had a lesson with the elders with a potential of theirs.  In the middle of it Brother Walker and Ben from Wolfville popped in and dropped off a cute little box from Annie! =D IT HAD MARKERS IN IT!! =D =D  I use them to color coordinate my planner hahaha and for other various coloring needs.  ;] We saw Sister Morrison again, the less active we're helping to quit smoking.  She's so funny. haha We had fun getting it all set up for her stop smoking program.

Sat Nov 29-We had a lesson with Theresa!  It was so good!  We made sure to teach her with a lot more questions to check her understanding and we changed her baptismal date to January 10th.  We had lunch at Sharon's Place in Pictou and I had a BLT and poutine!  It was good poutine! haha =] Then we knocked for a while, then we went and saw Jessie who is a recent convert that is awesome but because she's been going through chemo she hasn't been able to come, then we knocked some more.  THEN!  We knocked three houses on a new street and none of them answered, and we both were looking at this one house across the street thinking we should knock it, but it would kind of mess up the order.  But we decided to knock it anyway and guess who answered?!  HEIDI!  She was the lady that was at Liz's house and had the son who is 7 that she wants to raise in a church and get him baptized!  We hadn't been able to talk to her for a while, but we bumped into her!!  AND WE TAUGHT HER A LESSON!!!  THE SPIRIT GUIDES US!!!  Also, I was able to get some winter boots.  yay =]  Then we both had to prepare for Sunday because I was giving a 15 minute talk in sacrament, and we were teaching gospel principles AND we were teaching Young Women's.  We had a lot on our plate. hahaha
Poutine!

Sun Nov 30-MY 4 MONTH MARK!  AH!!!  What even?!?!?!  How is it 4 months?!  And I counted last night, as of today (Dec 1st) I have been on my mission for 125 days.  WOW.  So, I gave my talk in sacrament. =]  I gave it on The Life of Jesus Christ from the Gospel Principles book.  I think it went well. =]  Then we gave the gospel principles lesson, and then young women's didn't actually happen because they all left. hahah  Then we went to see sister Wilson.  The elders gave her the sacrament and we read a talk from last conference.  Then she had us sing some hymns. =]

Yeah, this week has been good, but I pretty much mentioned everything I can think of right now.  Hope you're all having a great week!  So excited for Christmas!! =D
