PDay update 11/17/2014 (Her daddy's birthday :)
Hey everyone!  This has been a great week!  I absolutely LOVE Sister Hoy!  She's so funny. =]

Tues Nov 11- We volunteered at the animal shelter and let me tell ya, I forgot how allergic I am to kitties.  But I really enjoyed spending time with them!  I just don't know how often I will be able to do that.  Sad.  Sister Hoy has suggested some allergy medication, but idk how to even go about that and such.  We worked on our area vision with the elders and set some goals.  Honestly, since I'm the only one that's new to the area, I was lost most of the time. hahah =]  But I'm learning the area!  No worries!   And yeah, not much there.  Sister Hoy and Sister Dowell worked on family history because there is a man who wants to know more about his Ukrainian heritage and family.  Oh P.S Sister Hoy started her mission in Ukraine but because of all that is going on there her mission closed down and she was evacuated to our mission.  So she speaks fluent Russian!  How cool is that?!  Each morning for companionship study we sing a hymn and she sings in Russian and I sing in Japanese.  (I bought a Japanese hymn book at the MTC)  So yeah.  She's pretty cool! =]

Wed Nov 12- We had a lesson with Howard and we brought Elder Dudley and Elder Siepert with us.  It was such a spiritual lesson.  The spirit was like an avalanche!!  We taught the first half of the plan of salvation and extended the baptismal commitment.  He isn't sure about the B.O.M and Joseph Smith so we committed him to read and pray every day.  Howard is such a nice man!  He called 10 minutes after the lesson to tell us, "I'm reading your Mormon book!" hahahaha So nice.  We also were able to contact for a couple hours.  I love contacting.  It's my favorite part of missionary work.  I'm not fond of the paper work part. haha ;]

Thurs Nov 13- ZONE CONFERENCE!!!  AH!  It was SO good!!  It lasted until 5:30 though. That's ok. =]  President talked about how key the Atonement is in our teaching and how we need to make sure we are explaining it better.  I loved that part.  As well as training on practicing and area-bookwork.  Plus, there was a violin there, so I got to play it for a bit.  AND!!!!!!  There will be a Christmas Zone Conference dealio with a talent show and Sister Hoy and I and the Truro Sisters put together a song that we will be performing for it.  I don't know if you saw the video of Sis L and I singing the cup song that one of the members put up, but it's that one and we even added on MORE to it!  IT IS GOING TO BE SOOOOooOOOoOOO good! =D

Fri Nov 14-We helped out at a nursing home and we got to play bingo! haha yay! =] And also fridays are weekly planning days, so a lot of time is spent inside. AND it snowed for the first time (real snow that actually stays on the ground) since I've been here!  Most of our time was spent in Canadian Tire though because the whole mission has been told to purchase rubber floor mats.  We were there an hour and a half because things were a little mixed up.   OH!  And Elder Dudley thinks he's so funny!  He threw a snowball and it hit me right on the side of my face. hahaha We joke about it a bunch now.  ;]

Sat Nov 15-  TODAY WAS FANTASTIC!!! AH!!!!! (Minus the 20 minutes of scraping 2 inches of pure ice off of the car.)  So we have an investigator named Theresa and she is 15 years old.  She is so sweet!  And we are so impressed how much she wants to learn about God at such a young age.  Well, we taught her the gospel of Jesus Christ and we reeaalllyy focused on just how essential and important baptism is and *drum roll*......SHE'S ON DATE FOR DECEMBER 6TH!!!!!!! =D =D =D =D =D  AH!!!!!  SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!  And then right after that we had a lesson with a potential (Liz) and we brought a member with us.  And it turned out that the member and the potential had never met before but have some family connections!  Crazy right?!  So they were able to bond because of that!  As well, part-way through the lesson Liz's daughter came in (Heidi) with her 7 year old son.  We were worried that the lesson would pretty much disperse from there, but Heidi is interested in finding a church for her son to be baptized in!!  She said she wants it to be his choice and we told her that we believe that 8 is the age of accountability and she said "Great!  Just one more year!" AHHHH!!!!!! She's golden!!!   It was a good day.  Lots of blessings.

Sun Nov 16- Church!!  The primary gave a presentation in sacrament and it was the cutest thing!   I got a little teary though because I miss my little brother so much.  It was an adorable presentation!!  The little kids are so cute. =] We also were able to visit a couple of members.  That was good.  It's always good to uplift members because MEMBERS ARE SO IMPORTANT!!  We love members!! =] <3 As well, we wanted to go visit a less active member, so we looked at our ward directory and picked out a name.  The lady we decided to visit is THE SWEETEST!  And she seemed truly sad that she hasn't been to church in a while.  We feel that we will be able to help her reactivate and to have those blessings again. <3 =]

Mon Nov 17 DADDY'S BDAY!- hahaha so today we had fun shopping. lol We took some pictures with toques on and just had a lot of fun in the store.  Sister Hoy is the best!  I love her to death!  We laugh all the time and she is so loving and caring. =]  I'm enjoying New Glasgow.  We're hoping to be able to stay here for two transfers for a lot of reasons.  a) I love Sister Hoy she is awesome b) I don't want to change areas again hahaha c) transfers are December 18th, right before Christmas.  That would kind of suck to be transferred to a new place and a new ward right before Christmas.  I know members are loving wherever I go, but I still wouldn't know them as well.  So fingers crossed I'm here for at least two transfers!!

Side note: I call Sister Hoy Chocolate Waterfall because her hair looks like a beautiful chocolate waterfall.  No seriously, it does. hahaha =]

Well, that's all for me!!  I love you all and I love serving a mission!  It's so weird to think that I am a missionary.  Sometimes I forget haha But then I get a glimpse of the normal world and I'm like, Oh, I'm totally a missionary.  So missionary.  Very missionary. hahaha

I couple scriptures to look up that I like this past week would be Alma 11:40 and Ether 12:6.  Just good scriptures really.

THANKS AGAIN!!
Sister Creager
