PDay update 11/10/14

Angelica is in her second area since being on her mission.  As a mom that makes me so excited to think about all of the wonderful new experiences she is having and the new people she is meeting.  Even though I miss her deeply, I want her to have this experience way more.  It's a once in a lifetime opportunity for her and she loves serving the Lord.

Here is her update email she sent.......
Hey everyone!!
Whoo has this been a fun week! =]
Monday Nov 3- So we had dinner with the R family and they made soup!! Yum. My favorite. =]  And Annie made an origami Tokyo Japan temple! It is so cool!  She also included facts about the temple.  As well as she put a Water Tribe symbol on a little rock for me.  I love it!! =D Also, Wesley drew me an adorable picture!  I love her boys and I love that family so much!!  I'm going to miss them like crazy!  They have no idea how much their gifts meant to me.  And I know I can never express how grateful I was to be able to spend time with her boys.  Her boys were great and it was nice to have that time with them.  I miss Alex so much and it just sort of made things a little easier.
Tuesday Nov 4-I was able to see Sarah one last time.  She's not going to be meeting with missionaries anymore because she doesn't feel ready at this moment.  Maybe later on in the future.  She's so great and I love her to bits!  =] We had dinner with Haley and then went to see Victoria.  Victoria is doing great and I am so proud of her!!  We helped her see how cross referencing can help when studying the Book of Mormon and the Bible.  Super useful and effective study aid.
Wednesday Nov 5-As Sister L would always say, this day was a bit of a "gong show". haha Just picture a bunch of gongs up on a stage and everyone just hitting them at random.  Haha pretty much means that it was scattered.  haha But that's ok.  We got to take some funny pictures with the elders and say goodbyes.  We had dinner with the W family.  They are the sweetest!  Then we went to the church for some meetings, but at 7:30pnm we got a text from the STLs asking if we could bring extra pillows.  o.O So we called and turns out we didn't get our travel plans and we were supposed to be spending the night in Halifax that night.  So um...all of my goodbyes were cut extremely short and goodbyes I had planned for the next day didn't happen... =/  It was so sad.  We were crying on our drive home.  I hurried and packed that last of my things, (good thing I was mostly packed already) and then we went for our last lesson together with Shannon.  Shannon was also my first lesson in Wolfville.  And she was also my last!!  How crazy!  Well, we get there and they rush me in and they made a CAKE and gave me candy and Erica gave me a scarf she knitted and they let me play violin and it was great!!  They gave me a going away party!  Sis L knew about it and they planned it out.  It was great!
Cake they made with Canadian SMARTIES on them.  They are like M&Ms here :)

Then after that we drove to Halifax.  I was up kind of late because Sis L and I were writing in each others goodbye-books. So I probably was in bed by 12 and then we had to be up by 4:45 to get ready and be on the transfer van by 5:30.
Thursday Nov 6-So I hopped onto the transfer van and Elder Torrie and I talked deep doctrine the whole ride to Truro haha I love deep doctrine.  It's awesome.  Mind blowing things there.  =]  Then I met Sister Hoy!!!!  I LOVE SISTER HOY!!  She is fantastic!!!  She is a sweetheart and I am so excited for this transfer!  Her favorite color is yellow!  What a good color.  =]  haha

Friday Nov 9-Weekly Planning day!  We had a lesson with Howard at 10am.  He is a really nice guy.   It wasn't a super eventful day, but it was good.  We knock a lot more in this area than we did in Wolfville.  Knocking is great though. =] I love it!
Saturday Nov 7- Today was a good day! We had a lesson with Theresa.  She is 15 and very interested in learning about God.  It's so cool!  We taught her the Plan of Salvation.  So excited for her!   We were able to set up 3 appointments from knocking!  We were in Pictou trying to contact a former investigator and she wasn't home.  I had the thought to knock a couple of the houses across the street, so we went for it, and we met Susan.  She let us in for a minute and we offered to share some of our message.  She said she wasn't interested and that things are kind of difficult and sad at the moment.  We told her how much this message can bless her life and how much it has blessed ours.  And then she said we could come back again next week!  =D  Yay spirit!

So in my personal study time I found a scripture that I liked.  Matthew 25:23.  And, I just had the thought, how wonderful would it be to be brought to the judgment bar of God and He tell us, "Well done".  I just really liked that.  It makes me want to strive and work harder to be better.
So Smarties candies are different here.  They are more like M&Ms and what they call Rockets are just like Smarties in the States.  Weird right? haha Just thought I'd share. lol
A couple other scriptures I liked were talking about humility.  If you would like to search them the references are 2 Timothy 3:1-4 and Matthew 26:39.  Good ones.  I like the Matthew one a lot.  2 Timothy is a little intense. hahaha =] Oh and another good one is D&C 67:10.  I can't remember why, but it's on my little list of things to tell you guys. haha
So a couple days ago...it happened................I SAID EH!!  AND I TOTALLY DIDN'T MEAN TO!!!  AH!!!  hahahaha I noticed it like 2 minutes later and it weirded me out so much!! hahahaha I'm becoming Canadian! haha I call bathrooms washrooms now and everything.  Next I will start calling my bag a "beg" haha That's seriously how they say it.  So yeah, Sister Creager is becoming a Canadian now. lol
I love you guys and thank you for your support!!!  I love it here in New Glasgow!!
