PDay update 9/22/2014

Another great PDay where I got to hear from Angelica. I sent her a couple of recipes that were easy to make.  If you know of some cheap, easy recipes that she would enjoy feel free to send them to her.  Also, I have had people ask what would be good to send her in a package? Pretty much anything.  Especially food...hahaha.  She told me today she spent all of her money this month and she has been buying cheap stuff like ramen noodles and white bread...haha.  So I am planning on sending her some easy to make food things.  Plus a few snacks and fun stuff too :)  And people have asked what to send her for Christmas and honestly the only things I can think of are small things so she doesn't have to pack too much around and probably the best option is Money!  She is needing to buy all of her winter wear there because she didn't take any with her.  And she is needing to buy that soon because she said it is already cold there.  Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. "OK!  I have to be quick so this is going to be shorter than I would like!

So here's a funny story!  We met with a less active family's daughter, named M, and she is an artist!  She just started drawing about 2 years ago and is already really good!  SO!  We made a deal!  She is going to draw Appa for me and I am in the process of drawing Howl from Howl's Moving Castle. We are going to exchange it at Young Women's this Wednesday.  Not to toot my own horn or anything, but it's looking really good!  I even went and bought real art supplies for this!!  The works! haha And I am loving it!  It's our sneaky way of getting her and her sister to YWs.  ;] haha But I'm having fun while I'm being sneaky.  =]

SO!  We have a new investigator named E.  GUESS. WHAT!!   He is fluent in Japanese!!  We didn't know that until I noticed that his email name was in Katakana and Kanji!  And we got to talk!  We were both impressed with each other!  Two non-Japanese speaking Japanese with each other.  He is a little better than me because he knows Kanji really well and can read them.  And that same night we met two exchange students going to the University who are from Japan!  Midori and Ikumi.  =]  They were surprised I knew Japanese too! haha =]  So much fun.

So I got a package from my mom this week!!  It was Fall themed and had leaves and everything in it!  We were at a member's house and they have two little boys.  So I had them help me open it and gave them some candy corn candies too.  It was nice because I miss my little brother a lot.  =]  

For those that don't know, Geli LOVES Nemo!  She has a larger stuffed Nemo here but she didn't take him.  So when I saw this smaller one I had to get it for her. 

Something that I forgot to mention at the start of this transfer is that we are in a scent-free ward.  Meaning, we have to purchase everything scent-free.  Shampoo, soaps, laundry soap, and no perfume.  People in the ward have SERIOUS allergies to scents and so from day one here I have had to use scent-free everything.  But yeah, it doesn't bother me.  But it's a fun fact I thought I would share! haha =]

So that day was interesting! hahah because at 3:30 the power went off!  We were panicking trying to figure out what to do because we still needed to fill the font!! AH! It was out for about an hour or so and as soon as we had back up plans and an alternative date set and everything, the power came back on! haha Heavenly Father has a sense of humor for sure. =]

So I will be here for another transfer!! YES!!  And none of the missionaries here are being transferred!  So the sisters and elders in the ward are staying. =]  

Ok, so I bet you didn't think the scriptures were funny.  BUT GUESS WHAT!  They are! haha  (I told this one to V and she thought it was funny! haha)  I was reading in 2 Nephi 24:16.  And pretty much it's talking about Satan.  Read it.  It's funny.  It sounds almost sarcastic.  Like, is this him??  What?  Is this the guy that caused all our problems?  You've gotta be kidding me!  This can't be him!  (haha that's how I interpret the verse. lol)

Anyway!  It was a pretty good week!  This transfer FLEW by!  I only get 12 more.  I don't want things to go too fast or too slow.  So far, they're going fast already!!  And people say that the first 3 months are supposed to go super slow!  SO, if this is already going fast, how fast will it get after I hit 3 months?!?!   Haha oh well, it must mean I am getting into the work, right? haha Let's hope so!
