PDay update 9/1/2014

She said today was going to be fun because a few of them were getting together to play Soccer. Some of her email to me....
" We do a lot of street contacting mostly and some knocking.  We just walk up and down the street and stop people as they walk by.  It's great. =]  Knocking isn't as effective.  It's hard to get referrals honestly.  Like, really hard.  It's the most effective way, but it's hard. It's a small town.  Like, it has a very small town feel and it feels like the houses were designed in the 1950's.  But that's just the style.  They're cute. hahah Small roads, small buildings, small town.  Today has been kinda a rainy'ish day.  But it's super hot.  Like...uuggghhhh. hahah I love the rain and I like never wear a coat.  My companion will be freezing and she's like, "aren't you cold?" hahaha "nope."  It's really humid today, but honestly, compared to Japan, it's not very humid here.  The humidity isn't a big deal to me and some days are pretty dry.  I don't really notice and I have adjusted."

Here is her mass email she sent out.....
" So going back to last Monday!
We had a lesson with V, (who is on date for Sep. 20th to be baptized) and we taught her W.O.W.  It went really well.

This might be a brief email cuz I don't have as much time today haha  And I forgot my journal so I can't remember my week. haha
Our investigators are ok.  Right now our only progressing investigators are S and V.  V is the only one on date.  S is cool!  She knits!  And she is crazy good at it.

We have some new investigators that we haven't had too much progression with or another appointment with yet.  We met A and J on main street and the four of us talked for a good 45 minutes about God and Christ.  We had a lesson with J, but A accidentally forgot he had to work later that day.  But we are meeting with both tonight.  J has INCREDIBLE faith and I think he can go far!!  I just hope he wants to learn more and continue!!  A trend I've noticed is people will have great faith and really enjoy the doctrine, but they don't progress...  It's so sad.  We haven't talked to C again since the first time because he went on vacation.  But on the 3rd we can contact him again.

I feel bad but I am almost out of time.  I had a lot of long emails this week and so it took me a while to get through everyone!  I'm so sorry!!
Let's see....what else can I say?? OH!!  Yesterday was an institute thing at a members cabin and it was really fun!  We got to walk to the ocean (in the picture) and just had a lot of fun!!!  Yesterday was a really fun day!

So as a small request from everyone, try to limit the length of your email so that I have time to read and respond to everyone.  I love you all so much and want to be able to tell you all SO MUCH! =D  I want to hear all about it!  But I just don't have the time to read through everything . Please continue emailing me!!! =]  And thank you for letting me know that you are doing well and having a great time!!
(*A note from Kellie:  Since she only has a short time to do emails on Monday you could send her written or typed letters in the mail and they can be as long as you want because she gets them during the week and can read when she is not at the library for computer time.  Contact me for her mailing address :) kcdoula@aol.com or find me on facebook Kellie Creager :)
I love Nova Scotia!!  It's not too different from home, but just enough to enjoy it.  I am learning to say washroom instead of bathroom because it is more commonly said.  and little thing like that.  Ok going to hurry and add some pictures hopefully!!!

Food we made!!  (No, I did not cook the meat.)  hahaha

And a funny sign on a house we knocked on.  That little old lady was feisty!!!

Oh yeah!!  A. (amazing members who help us out a lot) gave me this present that SHE MADE!!  The stone is beach glass and smells like japan.   hahaha

Last pictures!! The R. family sticky-noted our car =] hahahaha They're funny!  A and J are so sweet.  They have two little boys 5 and 2.
