PDay update 10/27/14
Some tidbits from the emails she sent me.....
"Thank you for all of the oils and for the nutella and the socks and tights and
the yummies and the GRITS!!!! =D Agh I love grits. mmmm. =] MILK COMES IN
BAGS HERE!!! What the actual heck?!?! hahahaha Canadians. And I will have to
try oreos. Sis L said they're different too. hahaha Now I'm curious."
"Oh my goodness I love my packages!! THANK YOU MOMMA! =D Except the spider.
Imma give that away. hahaha Maybe A's boys will want a creepy spider. ;]
OH! Her youngest boy, C, he gave me a hug AND a kiss the other day. It
makes me miss Alex tons. haha But C is adorable. =]"
I asked her if she needed me to send her anything like a golf ball for knocking on doors in the winter, hand warmers or put money in her account for anything because I heard that dairy and others things are expensive in Canada and she said,
"Everything is expensive in Canada. -_-
But yeah cheese is different, milk tastes nasty when by itself. idk what they
do to the poor cows. Ramen is pretty nasty too. Yuck. And I want to buy my
own golfball cuz everyone gets a nice fancy one that is decorated =] I want to
pick mine out. Thanks though! The warmers would be nice though. =]"
She said that their money looks like Monopoly money....LOL
Cool Pumpkin decoration
Her mass email....
"Ok, so I'm going to try to give a brief run-down of what I did this
week. Sound good? Well, I'm doing it anyway. haha =]
Monday! Oct 20-Honestly it was pretty boring. haha We went to New Minas to
shop at the Super Store and to print pictures at Wal-Mart. Wooo! hahah We also
had dinner with the B. family. They are so nice! I love them! And I think
we saw V this day. (All of the days are the same!!)
Really though, even though each day is different they all blend together so badly it's terribly difficult to remember things. The days feel like weeks and the weeks feel like days. Didn't understand that fully until I got into the field. haha

Tuesday Oct 21-We went to New Minas again to see a potential that the
elders gave us, but no one was home. So we decided to try to go see a less
active. She wasn't home, so we knocked the apartment building for a little
while. We bumped into K (who we actually had a lesson with yesterday. haha)
And then we visited a less active on the hill in New Minas. She was pretty
nice. =] The in between stuff is a blur haha but at 8 we had a lesson with
S and E and we watched the Joseph Smith movie with them! =] Sister
R and her daughter came with us. Sister R served and she is awesome!!
=D
Wednesday Oct 22-Wednesdays are our District Meeting days. So we drive to Annapolis for them. Which, is an hour and a half drive. So we have a lot of car time. We have limited kilometers for each month and that really eats up our Ks. Meh. haha But I enjoy the car time. We like to take songs that we both know and make them "missionary". We both like Rhett and Link so we have changed "Nilla Wafer Top Hat Time" to be missionary! haha It's great! "One day *knock knock* there was a knock at my door, two missionaries were on the other side. In their hands was a book and on their lips were the words, listen closely we don't have much time. AND THEN THEY REACHED IN THE BOOK AND PULLED OUT, THE FULLNESS OF THE GOSPEL FROM INSIDE!!" hahaha and so on. It's great. You need to know the song for it to be funny. We also saw S. She expressed a lot of concerns about things and it was a very scattered lesson really. We are hopefully seeing her tonight. Hope things go well.
Thursday Oct 23-We usually have correlation on Thursdays with the ward mission leader and the elders. We didn't this week though. (The elders and we share the same area and they just so happen to be our zone leaders as well. Very helpful.)
We actually had our district leader, Elder C skype in with our zone leaders there as well and give us some training on putting people on date. And I believe because of that our lessons that night were a lot more powerful! THANK YOU ELDERS!! Leaders are amazing. =] We had a lesson with T (S's fiance) and it went really well. He is smart and has a sweet spirit. Problem is, he doesn't believe in God or the soul. Merp. Hard to make him believe in feeling the spirit when he doesn't believe he has one. And he told us that he is afraid that it is true, because it would mean a lot of change for him. Haven't met with him since, but I feel we struck a cord and planted a potential seed. (hopefully!) We also met with M (M's 13 year old step daughter) and we invited her to baptism. She is VERY shy and afraid of any physical contact with anyone. But I think she will be baptized soon! haha

Friday Oct 24-Fridays are our weekly planning days. We spend 3 hours
planning for our investigators and planning out the next week. We have our 2
hours of study and then spend 2 hours planning and then lunch and then another
of planning. We also visit Shannex on Fridays at 2. It's a nursing home here
and I always play scrabble with these cute little old ladies. =] Scrabble is
hard!!! hahaha =] We also met with a potential that I am surprised even was
willing to meet because he doesn't feel he has a need for God right now in his
life. But it was a great lesson!! THEN!! WE MET WITH S AND WE HAD A
GREAT LESSON AND FOCUSED ON BAPTISM AND WE PUT HER ON DATE!!!! I am so
excited!!! She was the first investigator I met when I came to Wolfville my
first day and we have been teaching her for 3 months now and she FINALLY is on
date!! She had grown from being a feminist-atheist to reading and praying each
day!! hahah She was so cute when we invited her. We said, "Will you be
baptized November 15th?" and she said, "How about Spring?" hahaha We told her
that we prayed about the date and that we know she can do this!! SO EXCITED FOR
HER!!! =D
Saturday Oct 25-We got to meet with the potential in New Minas that the elders gave us. Her name is M! She is a mother of 3 young kids and a husband that works in the City. (They call Halifax/Dartmouth the City.) She has been reading a blog from a lady in Utah who had some serious burns and it led her to knowing more about Mormons. She asked us all the hard-ball questions. Like, "I hear you where clothing underneath your normal clothes." hahah yyeeaaahhh we had to explain it's sacred not secret. lol And she asked about excommunication, polygamy, the temple, and I think one other I forgot. Super excited about her!! =D
We also had a skype call with President to help us out with some investigators and to give me some training on finding the balance of being myself and being a missionary. Then we had dinner with Sister S (Bishops wife) She is SO sweet and fun! Love her!!
Sunday Oct 26-Stake Conference!! It was really good! And V came! (She hasn't come much lately) And as missionaries, we are volunteered (volun-told) to join choir. I don't like it very much haha I would much rather play my violin than sing because I have no clue what's going on. hahah We met with K! He's the one we knocked into! We took Sister S with us. It was a good lesson, we are just trying to figure out how accountable he is. (How mentally stable he is.) But we think he might be good to go! We'll see! We also met with B last night!! He's graduating meeting with the missionaries really soon. hahaha He's a less active we reactivated. It's amazing to see how he has grown!! =D Then we went knocking. I have done a lot of knocking in the rain lately. =] It's fun! =D I get to break out my rain boots for it. =]
TODAY! Oct 27- We studied and then I just sat on the floor and sang randomly to myself. hahahaha Good times. Then I got my hair cut. (Only my bangs, and it doesn't look very different at all. But hey, it was free!) And now I'm here emailing! haha And then since tomorrow is Sis L's 20th birthday we are going to the R family's house for part of P-Day and also for dinner!! Then after we are going to probably go street contacting 6-7'ish (my favorite) and then we have a lesson with S at 8! =]
There's a very detailed layout of my week! hahaha =] Hope it's ok!! =] I feel like I got through more things! My personal emails to everyone might be getting shorter because I want to start spending more time on my mass email. Sorry!! Just know I love you all and I DO read your emails!
THANK YOU!!! <3 <3
OH P.S! THEY ACTUALLY SAY EH!!! I thought it was a stereotype, but Sis L actually says it. hahaha (She's Canadian) Funny right??
AND HOW COULD I FORGET T AND M!! We randomly got a text from the elders saying they needed us to go to New Minas to take a bible and B.O.M to these people. Turns out they were interested because they saw this video on youtube about "what mormons believe" It was the FUNNIEST thing I've ever seen. We only watched a minute of it though because it totally drained the spirit and I didn't like it. But it was a cartoon and it talked about all of these false doctrines and it was so weird. hahaha Interesting for sure.
OK! DONE! haha LOVE YOU ALL!

"Now we are going to go back to the apartment for a short
while and get ready to head out to the R family home. We have dinner with
them tonight. Tomorrow we have a few lessons throughout the day. We have
dinner at Sister Bs house because her and sis L share a birthday!
Then we are meeting with E at 8. =] E and S have violins. I'm
hoping I get to play one of them! haha so selfish. I oddly miss violin a lot!!
OH!!! We have a lot of DVDs in the apartment that we can give out and THEY ALL
HAVE JAPANESE DUBBED VERSIONS!! I WATCH THEM ALL THE TIME NOW! SO HAPPY! Also,
we teach a lot more often then I imagined"
