A few weeks before she left we had made a paper chain so her little brother would understand that his Sissy was leaving. We also made a paper chain for him to count down when she will be coming home. The one for her leaving was hung on the fridge and the other one is strung all across her bedroom. It is a fun little activity for Alex to do, but it is also a very eye opening reality on how fast the days went before she left and how slow they seem to be going now that she is gone.
