PDay Update 1/12/15

Hey everyone!!
So this week has been a bit of a gong show.  (Canadian saying.)  Sister Hoy has the flu and so Thursday we had to cancel all of our plans and we have literally been inside since then.  Whoo! =/

Tues Jan 6- So today was a pretty good day.  Sister Hoy's voice was going though and she had a sore throat and stuff.  But we helped out at Ivy's Terrace nursing home and then we went and saw Tracy.  We had a great lesson with her and then helped her take her Christmas decorations down.  It was great because Tracy really opened up.  Tracy is really awesome. =]  We also had a lesson with Heidi.  We have started teaching her the commandments now and she is just so golden!  I love her!  You can just tell that she loves the spirit that she feels and wants to understand it more fully.
Oh and how can I forget this?!  GUESS WHO'S DRIVING NOW?! =D  I called and told them that I have all the things I need and was wondering if I am able to drive.  They said yes!  So now I drive! =D  I missed it. haha

Wed Jan 7- District meeting. So guess who drove to Truro. ;]  Hahaha Yup!  I did!!  =]  It's weird how I had to readjust to driving though. After coming home from district meeting we went and saw Sister Rushton and went over a talk with her.  She is the cutest lady and I love her. =] The rest of the night Sister Hoy didn't feel very well.  So I did some facebook finding.

Thurs Jan 8-Sister Hoy stayed in bed because she was feeling really bad this morning. =[  So I studied and got ready on my own.  Then we called everyone and cancelled all of our plans for the day.  Which is really sad because we had some great plans for the day.  But poor Sister Hoy has been, like dying, hah so we stayed in.

Since then our lives have consisted of playing these word search and Sudoku games that we got from the members this Christmas.  haha Whoo hoo!

Fri Jan 9- Inside all day again.  So nothing to really tell about.  Exciting, I know. haha

Sat Jan 10-  I woke up with some muscle aches and feeling worn out.  Pretty sure I have it now.  But it's not too bad really. (yet) The elders are also getting sick as well. =/  So the New Glasgow missionaries are down. Our district leader Elder Dudley has been feeling fine except he will just randomly feel sick and then throw up.  We took him some pepto bismol.

Sun Jan 11- We made it to the first 2 hours of church! =D  Haha but then we went home.  And I took a nap for like 2 hours.  I have been sleeping a lot.   I am just so tired.  And yeah.  Pretty much our whole day.  Isn't our week exciting? =] haha

Today has been a lot better though because we both got up and did studies today. =]  And we were out the door on time and everything.  I am feeling pretty alright so far so I think.  So hopefully we're on the uphill!  But honestly this week could get rough because Sister Hoy got sick very slowly and gradually.  So we'll see.

But yeah.  Not a very exciting week to report about, eh?  Here's hoping it will get better. =]

Oh, I was reading in Moses today and I was reading about the story of Cain and Able.  Cain is very sassy.  In Moses 5:34 the Lord is asking Cain about his brother Able.  The verse says, "And the Lord said unto Cain: Where is Able, thy brother?  Adn he said: I know not.  Am I my brother's keeper?"  And I just am always so surprised that he said that.  I know this is a weird spiritual though thingy, but it just stood out to me today.  We were talking about it in companionship study and it just really shows how we are all little children.  Cain killed his brother because he was jealous of him and because he wanted what his brother had.  Just like a little child that just wants the toy so they just take it.  We are all stumbling through life like little children, but as long as we hearken to the guidance of our Savior, we won't fall like Cain did.  I feel bad for Cain.  He just didn't understand.

Anyway.  Weird thought for the week. lol

Hope you guys are all healthy!! Try not to catch the flu! lol =]
